"Rye Bomber Blonde," on tap Jan. ’07 (not sure if it warrants a new listing): Hazy yellow gold. Wheat germ-like with a chewy-wheatiness (but it’s made without wheat, as I was told). Rye was nice and bready. Drying, too. Soft palate; nice carbonation. Herbal bitterness in the finish. Pleasant beer.

Stale bread aroma is dominant in this one. Has kind of a grainey sweetness, some sour fruitiness, and some grassy hoppiness coming through as well. Just not a big fan of this style.

Draught. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit boring perhaps, but reasonably well-balanced.

Draught at the brewery, 4th Wildland Firefighters Benefit. Pours golden straw with an edgy off-white head. Aroma is malt (grain, meal and straw) and yeast (sweat, horse blanket). Malt and yeast flavor, medium bitterness and acidity, low sweetness. Light bodied and creamy palate.
