Notes of coriander, ginger and clove. Creamy, doughy malts. Kind of tea-like in a way. Nice yeast flavors. "Holiday Spiced Belgian Dubbel" - Deep orange with a slight haze; served with an orange wedge. Spicy aromas (coriander, pepper, clove, ginger) contrasted against a sweet malt base (sugar water, candy, honey, and sweet fruit). Had these months apart, but I’m wondering if they’re essentially the same beer, or maybe just slightly altered versions of the same thing. Murphy (1759), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Taste is more of the same citrus, but also very leafy tasting. Big sweetness up front. Nice wheat maltiness and hints of hops in the finish. A little too sweet. Very good beer though. Aroma is kinda strange-spicy, but I got a note of aftershave spearament thing going. Flavors are much better than the aroma-lots of spice, corriander, belgian yeast and nutmeg. Some slight ginger ale thing going on also (krisbierjaeger said that one!). Not bad and an interesting twist on the style.
