"Firestone Double White" - Cloudy orange with a frothy head. Notes of coriander, ginger and clove. Creamy, doughy malts. Kind of tea-like in a way. Nice yeast flavors. "Holiday Spiced Belgian Dubbel" - Deep orange with a slight haze; served with an orange wedge. Spicy aromas (coriander, pepper, clove, ginger) contrasted against a sweet malt base (sugar water, candy, honey, and sweet fruit). Had these months apart, but I’m wondering if they’re essentially the same beer, or maybe just slightly altered versions of the same thing.

Big bananna citrus aroma, quite strong. Dry. Taste is more of the same citrus, but also very leafy tasting. Big sweetness up front. Nice wheat maltiness and hints of hops in the finish. A little too sweet. Very good beer though.

On tap @ Pumphouse poured a hazy copper with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of coriander, light orange and wheat. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of citrus, coriander and light wheat with a smooth sweet finish.

This is a wonderful summer beer. Lots of fruity phenolic aromas. Big hint of bananas right upfront. Flavor is slightly sugary sweet, lots of toasted malty creaminess. Clove and bubblegum spiciness, with some corriander citrus acidity to round out the palate. Very enjoyable

Draught at 2006 Craft Lager Festival. Pours cloudy straw yellow with a medium foamy off-white head. Aroma is spicy herbs, flowers, ginger, vanilla, grassy earth, straw and hay malt, fragrant hops and corriander. Moderate acidity and bitterness, underlying sweetness, malt and yeast body, peppery notes. Light bodied and dry palate, refreshing.

Salida, CO Beer Fest-tap-pous a cloudy orange hue with nice sudsy white head. Aroma is kinda strange-spicy, but I got a note of aftershave spearament thing going. Flavors are much better than the aroma-lots of spice, corriander, belgian yeast and nutmeg. Some slight ginger ale thing going on also (krisbierjaeger said that one!). Not bad and an interesting twist on the style.

2005 Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Body is hazy light amber. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie), with notes of ginger, banana, clove, coriander. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Lots of aromatic spices is nice, but the balance is a little off (slightly edgy/harsh), and the alcohol is surprisingly noticeable.
