HonkeyBra (1270), Lemont, Illinois, USA Oct 2, 2009 Orange pour with off white head. Kind of hoppy aroma with some caramel and some light spice, i guess. Aroma is sharp, carmelled flowery hops. Flavor is sharp hops to the contrast of malt backing. Pretty decent IPA but nothing all that special. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 7, 2006 on tap-pours a foamy light tan head and cloudy copper color. Aroma is solid citrus hops, medium malt-caramel. Taste is solid citrus hops with a nice bite and bitterness, medium malt-caramel. OK carbonation.
Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Oct 20, 2003 Cloudy, dark amber. Creamy, light-tan head (nitro). Texture was very creamy / stout-like / low carbonation level (which I didn't really like to see -- or feel -- in an IPA). Great hop profile, though: flowery, grassy and bitter (rose petals). Wondered how much the nitro might've dumbed down the hop aromas. Mildly sweet malts were representing nicely. Balanced things out well. Enjoyable beer, but would've preferred it sans-nitrogen.
