Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured and hoppy with a pine fruit flavour. Crisp and slightly bitter lasting finish. Aubrey (2773), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 29, 2008 "Hot Shots Harvest Ale," sampled in July 2008: Probably one of the best-tasting beers I’ve had at the Pumphouse. Deep amber with a creamy head and lingering lace. Smooth, soft and weighty on the tongue; rich texture. Really rich and flavorful malts with tremendous depth -- toffee, caramel, big cocoa, brown sugar, toasty nuts and a hint of tobacco. Hops were very complementing -- flavor-wise and bitterness-wise. Wafty hints of sugary pine and snappy orange. Awesome stuff. Wish they had it on all the time. goldtwins (4078), Nesconset, New York, USA Nov 1, 2007 Tap @ Pumphouse: Poured a hazy dark amber color with an off-white head. The malt stands out. Toasty and nutty but a decent citrusy hop component. The flavor was hoppy. Grapefruit and citrus that was fairly strong and lasted a long time past the malt. Mild-moderately bitter but short. Medium body. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA Oct 27, 2007 On tap at the brewpub on 10/14/07 called Hot Shots Harvest Ale: Deep ruby orange copper pour has a frothy clingy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruity hops and lightly sweet and toasty caramel malt. Body starts with a nice light malty sweetness and big crisp citrusy hoppy balance. Finishes flavorful and bittersweet with a pleasant light complexity. A good IPA. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 21, 2007 Name: Hot Shots Harvest
