Commercial Description:
A classic American Pale Ale with a rich golden hue. Flavor is predominated by three different varieties of hops. Finishes with a slight malty sweetness designed to balance the high hop levels. This is the brewer’s favorite. For those who consider themselves "hopheads"! 1999 GABF Gold Medal Winner for American Pale Ale. 75 IBU.

On tap at the brewpub, 4/13/06: Golden copper. Pleasantly hoppy, but not over the top. Nice little American pale ale, but it did have a bit of an off wood-chip flavor.

Draught - Bland and boring beer, typical American ale. Bitter hop finish is noit counterbalanced by anything else. Not too many hops, they are just annoying.

Clear amber appearance. Nice even Cascade hop aroma. Very frothy and carbonated. Thick, not very exciting, but still some sweet subtle hop flavor on top of a big wheat/bread malt presence.

Clear and gold with a Mini Cooper white top. Head clings to the side of the glass for dear life. Smooth malts up front; hoppy bite in the finish. Hops have some spicy and hot characteristics. Some bitterness and acidity too. Overall, not bad.

Draught. Dark yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (cookie), moderately hoppy (citrus - grapefruit, resin), with a light note of apricot. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, moderately astringent. This 75 IBU resiny/grapefruity pale ale will undoubtedly get higher marks from bigger fans of the style, but it’s pretty well-balanced and reasonably enjoyable even for me.
