Bottle. bought in Udaipur. Golden coloured. Clear. Dense off white head. Quickly diminishing. Aroma is sweet and bready. A slighty fruity touch. Flavour of fruits, rye bread and light alcohol. Is rather bland. Quite thin bodied. Dry. Ends on a grassy and watery note. Alcohol very well hidden, but some warmth on the palate.

Thanks to Amit for bringing this one to me! Always nice to be able to enter a new beer into the database, particularly from another corner of the world. Bottling date on the label of 12/05, still nice and fresh. The rather vague alcohol content obviously wouldn’t fly here in the U.S. The label mentions that this is for sale in Rajasthan only. Contents were exactly what I thought they might be, India’s take on Colt 45. Pale yellow, slightly fizzy, but not an altogether bad head. Rice adjunct aroma. Flavor matched. This had surprisingly little flavor in fact, which isn’t really a drawback for most malt liquor. I was expecting something syrupy, but this tended to be a bit drier on the finish. The alcohol was nicely masked, making me doubtful of the alcohol content claims. All in all, this could have been far worse. Probably helped that it was purchased fresh and kept in good condition the entire time.
