Pale hop aroma. Small beige head. Dark coloured smooth on the palate and hoppy with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp full malt finish. MesandSim (5833), London, Greater London, England

Black brown with a decent beige head and plenty of lace. Full of caramel and liquorice with some really good dark fruity notes. Slightly metalic in the finish but it’s got plenty of flavour to mask it. Very good light and drinkable Czech stuff. scotty (830), Scotland

VERY dark, almost opaque, It certainly has a rich coffee like aroma and palate, this rather overpowers the whole experience for me. A distinctive brew, not sure if I’d try again but glad I gave it a go. Went well with my burger & chips. Magicdave6 (5490), London, Greater London, England

Alround rating: Very stouty, big roasted malt character, black burntness, not much in the way of hop or fruityness. Not my scene. bobinlondon (838), Harrow, Greater London, England

Sweet and malty with a gentle smokiness. Fairly complex with hints of coffee and dark chocolate but noticable saaz bitterness on the swallow. Very nice! peter48er (146), Liverpool, Merseyside, England

Shouted liqourice & coffee with some chocolate. Lovely bitterness in the swallow which lasted long & was very pronounced. An excellent beer.If this is representative of the style I must try more. Dark chocolate colour with a milk chocolate head; rich malty aroma; rich and dry chocolate malt flavour with a milky body; and a clean deep bitter finish. Very good.
