The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Sourish aroma. Starts hoppy, abit sourish-moldy. Grasy-earthy notes follow. Finish a bit too moldy and boring. Not my favourite.

(tap at Zly Casy, Praha) A dark golden beer with mediumthick foam. An aroma with some hops and some diacetyle. Has a malty sweet taste with a medium palate. Not much aftertaste, just some bitterness.

On tap. Clear golden with a frothy off-white head leaving laces. Clean, sweet and very malty nose. Medium body, very sweet malts, a little low in carbonation, a whiff of yeast and a fairly dry finish. Lovely and very refreshing. 270608

[on tap at brewpub] Sulfury and spicy base malt aroma with very fresh hops. Almost clear dark straw with a lasting, frothy cover. Nice, almost crisp, base malt flavour with assertive hops bitterness and less hops flavour than amoa may suggest. Some peppery/spicy flavour that doesn’t seem to work for me in this beer. Medium body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.

Draught at the brewpub:Golden, slightly hazy, smaller loose white head; distinctive herbal hoppy nose, supported by sweet pale malt and bread and yeast in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour; lingering dry, herbal-hoppy finish. Not bad, but a bit unbalanced........

(6/23/08) Draught at Zlý Casy in Prague. Slightly hazy, but almost clear golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, honey notes, a bit of grains and some hoppy notes. Sweet malt flavor with caramel notes and a mild bitter finish with hops and a bit of grassy and spicy hints. Medium-bodied. 6/3/6/3/13=3.1
(6/27/08) Draught at the brewpub in Plzen. Slightly hazy golden with a medium, quickly-diminishing, beige head. Aroma of yeast and some grassy hoppiness. Flavor starts a bit sweetish with some bready notes and finishes with a pleasant hoppy bitterness. Medium-bodied. Nice. 6/3/7/3/13=3.2
