Commercial Description: Another English recipe that began with the British Sailors transporting barrels of this ale on their three month journey to India which was once an English colony. During this period, the saliors would soak fresh hops in the barrels which creates a distinct sharp hoppy flavor.
Had on tap at the brew pub on 8/10/2007. Poured a dark golden copper color. Smelled was all hops. Taste was hops and wet wood. Not a favorite style of mine, and like the other two brews from this brewer, there is a funky after taste that leaves you wondering what the hell you just tasted.
