This one has a pretty golden color with less carbonation than expected. Nice fresh apple aroma with some light woodiness and a hint of booze (tasty booze). Flavor is of sweet apples, caramel candies, some pleasant tartness and acidity. Full bodied, but no hint of 11%. Tasty, worthwhile cider that I would gladly seek more of. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 19, 2004 Gorgeous cobalt-blue 750 ml corked/caged bottle. White plastic cork. Peachy pink-amber, little fizziness. Moderately sweet nose. Flavor sweet but peppery-alcoholic and with some nice biting tartness all the way through. Much better balanced than the other Putney I had a few nights ago, though I think at this point I have to say that perhaps the high ABV shines through a bit too obviously in both of them.
