| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy amber with a diminishing off-white head. The aroma is subtle (weak?) with some toffee and maybe a trace of banana. The body is light and watery, with fizzy medium carbonation. Flavor is restrained (puny?) with just a token appearance by the wheat. Not much going on in the finish except a tiny bit of spice. It’s kind of like they took a bit of decent hefe and cut it with a bunch of Bud Lite. I really wanted to like this beer. SledgeJr (3004), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 27, 2006 In the bottle from HyVee CB. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a large uncontainable head. Aroma is fruity and pepper floral. A trace of yeast aroma. Flavor is more malty than wheaty, you can’t tell it’s a weizen by taste. Mild palate wild low carbonation. The finishing flavor is tart. | 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 18, 2006 12 oz bottle. enjoy by date on the label is smudged, but this is a new arrival so it’s pretty fresh.
Hazy amber with a large tan head that evaporated quickly.
Aroma was weak, sour dirty socks, caramel. Some banana comes out with vigorous agitation.
Flavor was bland. Some wheat and some light hops on the finish.
Drinkable, but boring.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2006 Descent pour with a cloudy amber look. Not a very good aroma just a bit to weak . Tasted smooth but simple with really no stand out flavor. Pretty basic weizen but ok in a pinch. Nothing to really write home about but wouldnt turn it down if it was offered at a bbq. loseratheart (110), USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 31, 2006 bottle. While it is smooth and drinkable, this beer has no distinct taste to it, other than a hint of hops. I would still prefer just the normal hefe over the amber. Very carbonated with a medium body.Wouldn’t call it well-balanced at all. Faint wheat at the end, more so as the beer gets warmer. Average. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 30, 2006 Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Not much aroma. Some maltiness. Flavor was mostly malty with some hops to balance. Tasted more like a common amber than a common Hefe. Not bad for an easy to drink beer. warriorx99 (85), USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 26, 2006 This beer has a hoppy aroma to it, it’s medium bodied, and highly carbonated. It goes down smooth, but lacks a very pronounced taste. ehhdayton (1115), USA
