| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2007 bottle - Pours light amber with a thin head and a mild, yeast laden aroma. The flavor is somewhat sweet and yeasty. Light bodied and not too watery, this wheat beer goes down smooth and refreshing. It’s simple and not bad at all, but could certainly be better. truegen (165), Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 26, 2007 12 oz. bottle. A pretty, red-amber color, hazy of course. Decent head lingers as a ring, but little lacing. Grainy, grassy nose, which is the flavor that hits the top of the tongue. A tart, fruity bite follows, and then a smooth, malty finish. An interesting midpoint between weizen and dunkel. Good summer beer. stefanje (953), (Santee) San Diego, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jun 22, 2007 12 oz bottle, pours unfiltered cloudy red amber. Nutty, malty aroma. Taste is smooth caramel, but finish is lacking. Like reading a book only to find the last chapter is missing. Pyramid almost got it right. I really look forward to more unfiltered offerings in the future. bhensonb (4374), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2007 Draft at McTarnahan’s. Creamy malt aroma with hints of light fruit. Hazy deep amber color with a light creamy beige head. Light carbonation. Starts with stone fruit, transitions to caramel malts. Finishes with touches of banana (finally), a bit of unripe fruit, and light caramel. Not a hint of bitter, just malt, and some citrusy sour notes at the back of the mouth. Went very well with the Scotch Pie. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 5, 2007 12oz. bottle. Sweet, fruity and lightly spicy aroma with notes of caramel, dough, banana, clove, faint citrus and cinnamon toast. Thoroughly cloudy light-medium amber color with a slight but lasting, creamy head. Flavors include more of the same with plenty of wheat and sugary, amber malts, yeast spice and esters, combined with a tart, lemony character and gently bitter hop presence. Fruity, malty and lightly tangy on the finish. Smoothly and evenly effervescent on the palate with a medium body. This is pretty much exactly as advertised, an amber/weizen hybrid, therefore I really can’t say I’m disappointed at all, as it meets my expectations just as closely.
