Commercial Description:
Our flavorful apricot ale boldly combines the taste and aroma of fresh apricot with the smooth finish of wheat malt. Its refreshingly unfiltered character and fruit flavor make it an ale worth savoring.

12 oz bottle. First, I better state for the record that I am not a fruit beer kind of guy (unless Belgian). Pours a hazy straw color with a medium sized frothy head. Aroma...well, here is a surprise... apricots. Flavor is...hmmm, yup apricots. Nothing much more to this beer than that. I highly doubt it was made with real apricots, so it kind of has that articifial flavor to it, but you know what, who cares if you looking for a light crisp beer in the summer. This is the type of beer that non beer drinking hotties would enjoy on a warm summer evening.

Pours amber and hazy with a dusty off-white head. The aroma has lots of dried apricot, richness from the wheat and not a whole lot else. It is straightforward and fairly nice. Medium / light body with spritzy carbonation. The flavor starts with the aroma traits then lot of peppery phenols come out. The finish is peppery and dry. The aroma is quite a bit better than the taste. Okay beer.

12oz bottle. Golden-orange color, assumed to be filtered. Over-the-top apricot aroma and taste, which I find quite enjoyable. A tad bit artificial in some ways, so don’t give this one to your Cantillon groupie buddies. Hard to detect much more going on than the sweetness of the apricot...but like I said before, I can dig it.

12oz bottle: pours orangish brown with 1 finger white head, aroma of apricots and malty, flavor is to overpowering of apricots and not much complexity. kind of a so so beer.

Ok finally got around to sampling this one. I should of gotten to this much earlier. Very surprised by this one. Perfectly balanced between aroma and taste. The apricot comes through nicely unlike Kona’s Waialua Wheat. Floral aroma really compliments the candy fruit taste. I will be having this again. Good job Pyramid.

Pours cloudy golden, light white head with limited retention. Strong aroma of Apricot with a slight yeastiness, flavour of apricot persists strongly on the tongue tempered by a slight hop bitterness. Light mouthfeel with slightly tingly carbonation. Overall a very pleasant fruit ale though I’m partial to the style anyway.

Smells of pure sweet apricot. Flavor is a little better blended but finishes with the taste of soap. Not the best, not the worst. Would not buy again.
