Commercial Description:
Our flavorful apricot ale boldly combines the taste and aroma of fresh apricot with the smooth finish of wheat malt. Its refreshingly unfiltered character and fruit flavor make it an ale worth savoring.

33cl bottle. I found their traditional hefe rather unremarkable and this is the same way. The fruit flavouring tastes rather like chemicals. Very sweet.

Smells like weird apricots. Tastes like weird apricots in a weird tasting hefe. The artificial flavor on this one made me wish I was dead. And I drink shasta soda regularly! I had to pour it down the drain!

On tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook. Cloudy orange body with a small creamy white head. Very sweet apricot aroma. Sweet apricot flavor, with a wheat background.

Pours a golden with a white fizzy head. Hints of syrup, apricots, peaches, and some spices. Finishes thin and sweet with some sourness on the back end.

Cloudy, golden-peach, sparse and slow carbonation, no head. Strong, sweet apricot jam sensibility, but muted flavor is a bit dirty. Slightly sour aftertaste. More or less true to form.

12 oz bottle. .. Medium gold, cloudy (with yeast pour), white head. .. Pungent Apricot aroma... Fruity, apricot flavor, not much bitterness. .. Light body, medium Carbonation. .. As a fruit beer, not bad. good stuff for the summer. not my favorite sorta beer, but definately done well.

This seems to be a beer that you either love or hate. Well...you can see which side I’m on based on the numerical rating. I thought this reminded me of...Bartles & Jaimes. Definitely way too sweet for my tastes, and the combination of the sweetness and the flavoring overwhelmed any of the taste of the yeast or the hops.

I am not a purist when I comes to beer. Many of my friends would never take the time to drink a beer that hand a fruity flavor put in it on purpose. Me...on the other had likes to try new things. 90% of the time I am right. Here is my review: Aroma: The aroma was of great distiction to the apricot. It was a medium aggressive apricot smell. The hops smell has been subdued due to the complimenting apricot tones. Appearance: The look was great. The base tone was that of a hefe weizen. Due to that, the clarity was noticibily weizen in apperance. The color took on a slight orange tinge from the apricot. Flavor: Wow, this is what sets this brew apart. I have never tasted a fruit beer where the balance between the base brew ( weizen ) and the apricot, but this brew did it. Mouthfeel: Due to the basestyle being hefe weizen and the apricot adding flavor, it was very light and crisp. Apricot aftertaste as well. Drinkability: The overall impression left me wanting more. I grabbed only one bottle, that is how I test a beer...why buy a 6 pack when you discover you hate it...costly mistake. This is a great fruit beer for those that like apricot and hefe weizen...a beer/fruit marriage made in Brew Heaven.
