The fruit flavors on tap were much subtler than I expected -- almost more noticeable in the aroma than the flavor. Honestly, I thought they could have used more apricot -- while this is a nice, light, drinkable weizen, it is not particularly distinctive. rmussman (905), California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2007 Probably the most popular of Pyramid’s brews. It has a very nice aroma of fresh apricots. However, i dont quite care for the flavor, and I certainly could not drink more than one in a sitting because it is so sweet and gives you a harsh hangover. Certainily worth a try. shalloWMeans (160), Independence, Kentucky, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Well, I must say, I actually like this beer a lot. I’ve also been looking for a beer that I could actually get my girlfriend to drink with me, and I think this might just be the one. It Pours a beautiful bright orange, apricot color with a fluffy head. The smell is slightly yeasty, floral, and oh so fruity. Lots of bubbles visible and a nice, cloudy, wheat beer haze. The taste is slightly bitter, smooth, and with a hint of tropical fruit, perhaps mango. The body is very light and smooth. Yum. Overall this is a very flavorul and refeshing summertime beer. ( Too bad I drank it in the dead of winter) cbkschubert (2005), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 19, 2007 12 oz. bottle - Pours a hazy light golden color with a light, white head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma and flavor is apricot and light yeast. Light body. This beer was a little better than I thought it would be. Worth a try. theisti (1681), Leawood, Kansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Bottle. Pour is cloudy orange - red. This looks quite nice in the glass. Initial aroma is mostly apricot, though did get a hint of malt in there as well. Taste is apricot, though I found it nicely balanced. Overall, I was not expecting to like this much, not a big wheat fan, let alone a fruit wheat fan, but this one actually did not taste like a "flavored" wheat. It really tasted like a nicely made apricot beer. And my mother in law loved it, so maybe I can stop buying Coors Light! moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Really nice apricot aroma is the best part of the beer. Medium palate comes from the orange colored body. Wheat malt taste with some tangy flavors as well. Not too bad really for an apricot ale. tronraner (1933), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with proportional white head. The aroma is candied apricots, which I suppose should not be too surprising. The flavor is like the dried apricots that show up in trail mix, with a slightly dry finish and a hint of grass in the aftertaste. Ok, but the apricots are way out of balance... need some beer in there, too. kreepindeth (405), Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Feb 10, 2007 While not a ’bad’ beer, the apricots are too powerful. It’s hard to taste anything but the overpowering apricot syrup. Tastes like a jolly rancher, take that as you will.
