unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Sep 17, 2009 short 12oz, twist-off bottle. Light copper color. Aroma of toasted malts. SOUR FLAVOR. A bad bottle?!>#@ Where is the malt? GROSS> Not very beery. patricks110 (276), Alberta, Canada Sep 12, 2009 A wonderfully colorful and vibrant amber ale. A bouquet of scents primarily malts, caramel, nutttiness and barley make an interesting aroma. Taste is better than the aroma. Caramel malts, sweet and clean. Palate is undertoned and overall this is a pretty good beer. JK (2946), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Aug 9, 2009 Some wheat. Just a little sweet. I was surprised to taste the wheat in this beer. German yeast I think. Light malt body. Very light hop presence, I thought I was drinking an oktoberfest. Vertical Bacon Strips (874), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jul 15, 2009 Ick. Nice clean, mahogany brew. Even a hard pour could not coax any sustainable cap. Great colour though. Aroma: meh. Mild malt, slight alcohol, phenols. Man, this is a weak smelling beer. More alcohol now, tasty malts, deep toasted and caramel malts. Ack. Alcohol again! Dammit already! Tons of toasty malts in the taste, bread, dry, hard nasty bitterness (not strong though), pepper. faint oak taste as well. Medium to medium full bodied, mild carbonation, stays thick all the way through, long dark aftertaste and mid length hard bitterness remains. Crap beer. thirdeye11 (405), Texas, USA Jul 12, 2009 (12oz bottle thanks to bu11zeye) Pours a dark yellow. Smell is muted but sweet, can’t describe it much beyond that. Taste is extremely sweet with absolutely no hops. One dimensional and not that enjoyable overall. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 28, 2009 (12oz bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, and herbs. Flavor of sweet caramel, toffee, and mild hops (citrus, grass). Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Jun 27, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours light amber with minimal head. Aroma is caramel with some raisin and a bit astringent. Flavor much the same, too metallic for my tastes, but could be worse. mar (1740), Rowlett, Texas, USA Jun 26, 2009 bottle thanks to someone maybe bu11zeye? amber with no head. nose is caramel malts. sweet caramel malts and light fruit for the flavor.
