Quite sweet with a bit of strength in the finish and a coatingness to it. improvjock (103), Namegata-shi, Ibaraki-ken, Japan
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 17, 2008 Pours a reddish amber color, with small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and sweet malts. Tastes sweet and malty (no surprise) and is pretty smooth. Pretty well balanced. I really enjoyed this beer, and though I wish it were available year round, it tastes like fall. carruthm (1170), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 29, 2008 Oct. 2007 - Chestnut amber color with half finger head and very little lacing. Aroma was rather nondescript malty. Flavor was nutty, roasty with a touch of caramel. Much less caramel than the typical amber. As it warmed some sweet citrus reminiscent of lemongrass emerged. Not bad! Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 11, 2007 Pours with weak short lived head, but deep reddish amber color. Aroma reminds me of butterscotch, one of my favorite flavors. The flavor is full malt at first with respectable limey hops and a carmelly aftertaste. Almost a dessert beer.
