Papery body with some solvent like flavors detected. The finish is dry and makes me think of salt and pepper. Light, fruity, nutty and flavorful. An interesting beer. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 1, 2004 Huge light tan head sits on top of very carbonated caramel colored ale. Yeasty peach is the first aroma I smell. Man, this shit is bad. Sour apple and light molasses. There is no way I'm drinkin' this shit. Oh well, a waste of $1.09 + crv. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 31, 2003 Slightly hazy amber colour with an appealing off-white head. Aroma of caramel, cherries, grapes, malt and a subtle spiceyness. Medium-bodied; Sweet caramel flavour initially fading to a plain maltiness. Aftertaste clean, somewhat sweet, but not bitter. Overall, not a great beer, but not the worst-simply mediocre! I sampled this twelve ounce beer purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits in Washington, D.C. on 29-December-2003. haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
