Broken Rake was the seasonal in a Pyramid variety case I purchased. Looked better in the bottle than in a pint glass. Typical West Coast Amber Ale with plenty of bitterness. Weird sticky aftertaste stuck to my teeth while drinking it. Cool label, average beer.

Sweet, malty aroma, primarily composed of caramel with a touch of hop. Medium orange-amber color, fully diminishing head. Flavor is similarly malty, sweet, more caramel and brown sugar, with a twinge of astringency towards the finish, along with some fairly mild hop fruitiness. Medium bodied, texture is on the watery side. Just kind of dull.

Amber color with a light tan head which lasted fairly well - no lacing. Aroma is predominantly toasted malts, sharp spices. Flavor is initially sweet roasted malts, mild hops and then a spicey finish that for me just ends up being unpleasant. Medium body and little carbonation - kind of flat. I think they tried too hard with this one.

Reddish brown in color small head. Very malty in aroma. Very malty in taste with a nice hop flavor, also very sweet. Decent amount of alcohol. Pretty damn good beer.

first of the fall seasonals ( or autumn as I prefer)..comes in the typical Pyramid stubbie 12 oz brown bottle. Pours a nice crystal clearlight brown colour..almost reddish..small pure white head that goes fast though good lacing is left behind. mm this is a very very malty smelling beer..pretty exciting if your a malthead. taste is also malty though with a nice bitter aftertaste..which I suppose is the hops. Nice and smooth mouthfeel Quite a drinkable ale..I had this last autumn and didnt like it at all..seems like at least they made it more drinkable.

A pretty nice amber. Nice and malty but a little on the sweet side. The beer is very well balanced. It is a great fall beer as it was not to light nor to heavy.

Nice amber color. Decent flavor, not much aroma. Tastes like an Oktoberfest.
