Bottle from BevMo. My bottle is 6.1%. Deep amber in color. Aroma is sweet with some maltiness. Sweetish flavors. Fair amount of maltiness with moderate hoppiness. Finish is a little lacking. Decent overall.

hazy amber color, respectable tan head, nice lacing. mild aroma of caramel malt, sweet hops. at first i caught something metalic in the taste, reminicent of blood in the unappealing flavor. i think it mellowed as it warmed, replacing the bolood with sour fruit. spritzy unappealing mouth feel. i didn’t enjoy this much. did i mention unappealing?

Bottle courtesy of sloth. Pours light brown with a thin white head. Smells of caramel, some sugar. tastes malty with some light fruity hints and an earthy finish.

Middle of the road go-round of a rather bland style, from a brewer that specializes in both. Very thin amber body and light off-white head. Nose pretty tame...light herbal hopping, I guess. Caramel and toffee malt...light earthy/floral/herbal hop profile, hiding off in the distance somewhere. So-so average amber. I was not offended.

Bottle. Dark copper body with a light yellowish khaki head. The aroma was earthy with some caramel and raw soy beans. The taste was dusty toffee with some sweetened iced tea. There was also a light hint of mandarin oranes in the finish. Drinkable.

2008 Bottle - Pours amber with a decent off white head...I think this is a fun American marzen style ale, aroma is sweet malt, a little fruity, flavour follows...caramel, balanced bitters, good alcohol...a fun fall warmer...

Smell is carmelly sweet, hint of pine and yeast. Some fruits (apple) and mild cracker malt. Flavor has bigger malt and hop content than alot of boring ambers. Starts slightly carmel, herbal hop mid and finsh is cracker malt. Thicker body than I expected, crisp slightly astringent mouth. Good with Gruyere as a contrast.
