Tastes a little old, but hey, I'm close to the brewery and I think this just showed up on the shelves, it shouldn't be off...not bad necessarily, but not great. argo0 (7012), Washington DC, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 2, 2003 Hazy golden with small dissipating off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, fruity (berry), light toffee, light grassy. Taste is mildly sweet and malty up top, lightly toasty, some apricot fruitiness, before finishing with a combination of grassy/earthy bitter and fruity sweet. Also some toffee as it warms. Medium body, fairly acidic/carbonated, though not especially crisp. celogan (190), Oroville, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2003 This had great carbonation. Nice mouth feel. Poured nice golden color with pretty long lasting head and lacing. Must have been really fresh judging by other ratings who don't agree with the head or lacing.
Flavor was good but not unusual. I'd get this again. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 27, 2003 I really enjoyed this one - some bready malts finished off with a crisp black pepper/dirty hop flavor. It quenched my thirst, and I think that's all it was meant to do. haddon90 (1040), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 23, 2003 Pyramid's version of a Heineken. Crisp and smooth, a golden color, white head and some malt and a nice taste. Not bad! Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 18, 2003 Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow, moderate density of tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (bread, cookie), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, metallic. Dirty metallic flavor kills another Pyramid beer. WabashMan (817), Noblesville, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 17, 2003 The appearance here is pretty nice...except teh head faded WAY too quickly to get a high rating. However, the medium orange-gold color is pretty nice. The aroma is fairly "earthy" for a pils. The flavor is also earthy, but not as nice as the aroma. Also a fair amount of bitterness for a pils. This is an alright pils, but nothing great. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA
