May 27, 2008 Clear golden color with a moderate off-white head that settles to a solid lid of creamy bubbles. Dry, floury wheat aromas. A touch of fruit, but not much there otherwise. Crisp and clean in flavors. That said, not many flavors. Light sweet wheat, hints of light fruit and a bit of herbal hops. Some light citrus in the finish and linger.

May 27, 2008 Bottled as Crystal Wheat Ale. Slightly grainy, slightly wheaty aroma, dry. Golden pour with a white, lacing head and plenty of carbonation. Very crisp taste has faint wheat and phenol-tinged bread toward the back end, a slight rubber glove astringency with a poor malt base and peripheral lemon citrus. Light body but not watery. Boring and bland.

May 8, 2008 Semi murky pale yellow with thin white head. Aroma of perfume-like sweet malt and a touch of yeast. Taste of sweet malts a little thin with a semi-dry finish. Pretty much a middle of the road beer.

May 7, 2008 Bottle. Poured a honey yellow with small white head. Nothing really stands out to me, but I enjoyed it. Light and refreshing, a good session beer.

May 6, 2008 Poured from tap at Berkeley Pyramid ale house, labeled crystal wheat ale, as a clear pale blonde ale with a small white head with low carbonation. Aroma of banana, caramel and malt. Flavor is lightly sweet with banana, honey, and malt. The palate is sweet with a light tartness and a slight carbonation tingle. Nice overall, could use more carbonation to pump up the spice tingle on tongue, but I would drink this one again.

Apr 14, 2008 clear yellow gold, two finger head of fluffy white small bubbles. strong yet soft dry baked wheat aroma. soft, light, and dusty on the palate with a little peak of bitterness if only for a second. balanced nicely, the initial sweetness never gets out of control, though the style isn’t my thing.
