Commercial Description:
An American style light bodied wheat ale that is refreshingly flavorful. Crystal wheat ale was inspired by Pyramid’s first beer in 1984 the wheaten ale, which was the first year round wheat beer brewed in America since prohibition

Pours golden with a small white head. Smell is dull, wheat, cardboard and faint sweetness. Taste is fairly bland with some wheaty dullness, light dry honey flavors and crisp bitterness. Medium to thin body and crisp carbonation. Clean-ish with a light muskiness to it. Decent.

Tastes like a standard light beer only more bitter. Interesting, but that was all.

Hint of honey and cream in the nose. This is like a ale infused pilsner. Lite in aroma and flavor reminiscent of pilsner. However there are notes of the stronger ale style. Im pleasantly surprised by this and Im liking it quite a bit.

Slight sour milk odor. For a crystal wheat, it’s a bit cloudy with a lemon yellow color to it. Kind of a clean crisp malt flavor. Overall it’s OK, but nothing too outstanding...

Pours pale gold with a thin creamy white head. Aroma is wheat, grassy and citrus hops, and a bit peppery. Flavor is wheaty, some lemon, white pepper, grassy hops, and a little crusty white bread. FInish is crisp, wheat and grass. Body is thin and slick with a nice fizz balance. Would be a great summer beer, can’t knock the beer for the fact that it is definitely not.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a decent, active, frothy, white head that lasts. Taste is of wheat, yeast, grass and some citrus. Has a light wheat aroma. Oily body. Light, clean, refreshing and easy to drink. Would be great on a hot day and is worth getting when on sale. On a side note, I liked this beer better from the bottle.

Clear gold with a good amount of visible carbonation. Small white fizzy head that lasts about a minute and becomes a thin uneven layer. Nose is honey and yeast but is not substantial. Flavor is also thin with some malt, corn, fruit and a funky bitterness. Fizzy and watery feel. An underwhelming beer.

Pour is a clear yellow with an average head. Aroma is a nice malt with some grass. Flavor has a little citrus to it but overall very watery. Nothing really to this one.
