SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Jul 21, 2008 a summer beer if there ever was one, i mean i put on my swimming trunks and sunscreen while in my house while drinking this...i had too .... very refreshing ... nice and upbeat ... clean stuff ... a full form american wheat ... light banana and summer can yeast aromas ... not bad stuff at all.. good bitterness level ... Reid (1085), Salem, Oregon, USA Jul 20, 2008 Light ,bright golden in appearance, with a nice sized, yet short lived white head.
Actually the aroma has a good bit of "wheatiness", grassy with some lemon-spices.
The taste is however very weak, just a mere suggestion of wheat to thicken up the wateriness a bit, no bitterness, barely anything.
Mouthfeel is boring and watery.
Its drinkable but I would rather have a pale lager in the summer than this effort. Headbanger (1574), Aurora, Illinois, USA Jul 16, 2008 22oz bottle-A clear golden body with a small covering for ahead. Aroma of hops, wheat, and grass. Taste of wheat, citrus, and hops. Not bad but still and American wheat. CapnCascade (116), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jul 14, 2008 Clear golden pour, light white head with some retention. Aroma of yeast and sweet mash. Flavor is on the bland side with a slight malt sweetness to it but largely lives up (or down, I suppose, depending on one’s perspective) to its name. Light sparkly mouthfeel with rather limited personality. Meh. No dice for this one really. WhatDidIDrink (10), , Utah, USA Jul 12, 2008 This is good beer. I think it tastes almost identical to Pyramid hefe, but pours a crystal clear. Is just a filtered Pyramid Hefe? You be the Judge. Dubbercody (214), Vancouver, Washington, USA Jul 5, 2008 Golden, clear with champagne like bubbles coming up through it. A bit wheaty with a moderately nice nose.
Tastes smooth, wheat, creamy with a sweetness. Alright beer, but there are others I would chose first. kidmartinek (972), austin, Texas, USA Jun 29, 2008 Clear golden beer, very slight bubbling, head is 1 inch and lasts a few minutes. Full bodied wheat aroma. Flavor is wheat, full and creamy, maybe a little vanilla, but very creamy. Appeal borders on heavy and refreshing. A small bite on the finish. mj (4973), Colorado, USA Jun 22, 2008 12oz bottle pours light wheat yellow in color with a white head, slight chill haze. Nose of musty wheat and grains and a lighter note of moldy, old honey. Flavor is sticky honey sweet malts, light wheat, light dried fruit... not too complex but pleasent enough. Basic semi-sweet honey malt flavor, little to no bitterness. Simple but not bad. Texture is medium to full bodied for the style, somewhat resinous and oily and moderately thick.
