Light, sweet malt aroma with a touch of spicy hops. Crisp wheat and light sweetness in the taste. Spicy hops and moderately bitter finish is more than I expected.
I expected zilch from this. But, I’m pleasantly surprised. I’d gladly drink this when looking for a light session beer any time. Very refreshing, yet taste is still there. Great baseball beer. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA

Pours light gold with a smooth white head. Slight haze to it. Citrus and banana aroma. Very crisp and refreshing on the palate, feels like high carbonation that brings the spices to life with a subtle honey and bready flavored malt base. I really enjoyed this one as a summer beer. iabeerguy (159), Iowa, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2007 Poured a clear copper body with a small-to-wispy white head. Nose of lemony wheat and mild cascade hops. Slightly fruity from malt and hops balance. Has the distict Pyramid yeast nose. Easy to drink. Slightly chalky. Finishes somewhat dry and thin and slightly tart. A very nice session beer and rather unique for an American Kristall Weizen. LinusStick (1833), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 26, 2008 A delicious and very refreshing wheat ale. Aroma was so so. Grass with a hint of light malt. Pour was a nice light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was a nice mix of tartness and a hint of citrus. The strong carbonation overpowers the beer in a good way and makes the beer great in hot weather. rayOfBeer (318), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2008 Poured from tap at Berkeley Pyramid ale house, labeled crystal wheat ale, as a clear pale blonde ale with a small white head with low carbonation. Aroma of banana, caramel and malt. Flavor is lightly sweet with banana, honey, and malt. The palate is sweet with a light tartness and a slight carbonation tingle. Nice overall, could use more carbonation to pump up the spice tingle on tongue, but I would drink this one again.
