Spicy, floral, aromatic, lemony, lightly sweet aroma. A bit metallic as well. Decent aroma, but not really characteristic of a weizen. Transparent golden body with a small, white head. Sweet, biscuity, cereal-like malt flavors to start with some light, husky, wheat-like flavors in the middle. Finishes with some citrus lemon flavors. Rather uneventful and pretty straight-forward. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Draft at the alehouse in Walnut Creek. A golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet and malty - I don’t pick up any wheat. The flavor is sweet and mostly malty, but towards the finish a light wheat note appears and makes the finish dry with just a hint of citrus fruits. Forgettable. Head was white and left some good lace. Aroma and flavor were of weak banana and clove with fresh malty cereal grain. So so. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 17, 2009 Pours a nearly-clear gold with a finger of frothy white head that quickly diminishes to a thin cap with some patchy lace left in its wake. The nose is of dusty wheat and a solid, doughy yeast note backed by lighter notes of honey and bubble gum. Light-bodied. without being thin. it possesses a slick mouthfeel which transitions to a mildly sour finish. A departure from the nose, the flavor shares the same dusty wheat character but lacks the sweeter notes that make the nose somewhat pleasant. Light and slightly fruity, it’s a decent wheat, but short of someone handing a bottle to me on a hot summer day, I can’t see myself drinking this again. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Pours golden with a small white head. Smell is dull, wheat, cardboard and faint sweetness. Taste is fairly bland with some wheaty dullness, light dry honey flavors and crisp bitterness. Medium to thin body and crisp carbonation. Clean-ish with a light muskiness to it. Decent. llcooldave (337), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 17, 2009 Slight sour milk odor. For a crystal wheat, it’s a bit cloudy with a lemon yellow color to it. Kind of a clean crisp malt flavor. Overall it’s OK, but nothing too outstanding... italarican (170), Astoria, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Draft from the brewery. My bartender told me this was basically a filtered version of the Hefeweisen, and that’s basically what it was. Slightly watered down appearance. Slightly watered down aroma of citrus. Slightly watered down flavors of lemon and citrus. Overall, well you get the drift...
