The aroma could be best described as summer. Makes me think of a hazy, hot July day. Very nice palate with some nice spiciness. Finishes smooth. A very nice beer for summertime. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 24, 2006 Pours a hazy golden orange with small floaties and a smaller white foamy/bubbly head that left slight lacing. Aroma of various grains, grass, straw, hints of caramel. Flavor was thin...light grass and citrus. Kind of sweet, yet crisp and I could see this being refreshing on a hot summer day. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2006 Bottle from Richard, thanks. Ive seen this locally, but Ive never bought it, so I am glad Richard sent me a single! From the bottle. Smells like straw and herbs. Little grass, pretty fresh. Taste is sweet and kind of spicy, and very refreshing. Pretty good, probably a good beer for drinking while riding the lawn mower. I actually did a bunch of yardwork today, so this one was nice. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 9, 2006 Bottle. Poured a small white head that mostly diminished, sparse lacing, hazy, visible carbonation, and a straw yellow hue. Nose was citrus, sweet and spicy. Flavor was sweet, thin, herbal, boring, and more of the flavor came through as it warmed up. Mouthfeel was mildly tingly and thin. Lght body. Nothing to get excited about IMO. illinismitty (1801), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 18, 2006 Another bottle in my summer pack, and the last beer of the night. Pours golden with a slight haze and small white head. Faint grain, biscuit, and citrus aroma. Light malty flavor that is semi sweet balanced by some faint herbal hops. Much better than macro swill, as it has more maltiness and a detectable hopping rate. But in the end, its still rather boring. Lawnmower or BBQ beer. Pencom (18), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2006 Similar to Alaskan Summer Ale, another American style Kolsch beer. An excellent mild brew for the Las Vegas summer heat. No reason to rate it low because it’s not hopped up. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Updated: Aug 21, 200612 oz bottle. Clear gold color. Large foamy white head. Sweet bready citrus aroma. Lemon bready flavor. Well balanced malt taste upfront with a nice mild bittersweet finish. Light bodied, refeshing, easy to drink. Personally i think the low scores are because so many people want everything’over the top’. Well this isn’t, it is SUPPOSED to be thin, it is SEVERAL steps up from Macro-swill, and it is a nice refreshing flavorful beer on this 95 degree oregon day. I could drink this beer anytime, but not all the time, lol. Odeed (1679), Bakersfield, California, USA
