This doesn’t have the weight of that IPA, of course, but it had a great drinkability, with light citrus notes, a little grass, and a slightly effervescent quality due to the carbonation. Definitely light but in its context (hot summer days) it isn’t too far out of place. lamas (718), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 6, 2006 Bottle. Couldn’t quite make out the date on the bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold/orange with a fizzy, off-white head. Crisp, wheaty aroma with subtle hints of flowers and citrus. Thin, watery and overly carbonated. Crisp. Moderate citrusy sweetness upfront followed by a delicate amount of perfumed wheatiness at the end. eaglefan538 (2369), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 5, 2006 An average Kolsch. Head was unimpressive and it poured a pretty dark orange-brown. Flavor was pretty sweet (too sweet) and the hops were absent. Nothing to write home about here (and I kinda enjoy Pyramid brews normally). 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 3, 2006 Pours a clean yellow color with a large white head. Aroma was citrusy with notes of grass. Flavor was very much the same. This was a refreshing brew, but somthing is just missing. BBB63 (4232), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Poured in a SN pint glass: Small fizzy fading head with minimal lace, golden hue. The aroma has a nice lemony grain aspect with a touch of grassy hops, no notice of corn or butterscotch which is a good thing. The flavor is simple, a mild citric twang on top of some sweet and herbal character. The feel is lacking, should be crisper IMO. While no noticeable flaws are present, it lacks any defining character on the palate. You could do worse. BuckeyeBoy (1670), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 2, 2006 12oz bottle Pours out a hazy yellow. Topped off with a white head. Aroma of old wheat of some sort. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 1, 2006 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus, im not into the kolsch style, but this was a pretty good one, still not my thing. Citrusy, bitter, very light, but not bad. calivania (62), USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 31, 2006 Not much there there. Smells like the storage room of a fancy grocery store, liek Whole Foods. Color of watery domestic. More of a slider in the repect that starts off full flavored and slides into the ether to the point that you can not even tell if you had a beer. Not terrible, but one that I will stick in the back of the fridge until my next BYOB barbque.
