Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

12oz bottle. Pours a murky burnt orange color with a nice big off white foamy head that lingers with lacing throughout. Smells of wheat, citrus, malt, and spice. The taste is pretty sweet with overpowering citrus and wheat. The mouthfeel is very smooth and crisp and very easy to drink

On tap @ home from the kegerator. Yeasty aroma with hints of straw and bananas. Cloudy orange/yellow with a nice white head. Flavors of wheat and yeast, almost fruity yeast flavor. Slightly thick mouth feel with light carbonation. This is a pretty solid every day drinking Hef.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow-orange with a fizzy head. Smells grainy and wheaty. Tastes like a flat pilsner. Not much spice. Tastes of wheat and grain malts. Very soft carbonation. Yeasty and watery aftertaste.

Draught at The Chancellor’s Hotel, SF Hazy golden with a small, white head. Loads of lactic acid in this one; to old cask I’d say; the waiter didn’t agree... The buttermilky acidness is overtaking everything else. Some light spiciness to be found, but overall very thin.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden orange and is cloudy as a hefe should be. Thin head which disappears quickly. Also noticed a great deal of bubbles. Aroma was of malt and citrus. Flavor was nice, yet unremarkable. Typical wheat, citrus, yeast flavor of many hefes. Finish was thin, somewhat watery, and crisp.
