brew4fun (167), West Virginia, USA Oct 13, 2008 Cloudy golden, thin diminishing head, releasing spicy aroma of yeast, wheat. Flavor of crisp wheat and spicy hops. Smooth, mildly bitter with a clean, dry finish. Refreshing brew. ethomson (56), Huntington Beach, California, USA Oct 6, 2008 This beer is amazing of the tap, not so much in the bottle. Pours a hazy orange. The taste is bitter, you get a lot of wheat and some spice. It’s one tasty brew, especially with a wedge of lemon or my all time favorite, Hefeweizen with a wedge of orange, it really brings out the flavor. taalhiker (179), Dayton, Ohio, USA Oct 3, 2008 From bottle. Pours hazy orange colored with a short lived head. Refreshing on a hot summer day. Nnot complex but serves its purpose. Citrus and wheat aromas and flavors. fidel (885), Livermore, California, USA Oct 1, 2008 Hazy orange-yellow, simple, citrus, bready, spice, little malt, little yeasty, little floral. gringo332 (236), Richardson, Texas, USA Sep 19, 2008 Aroma kind of reminds me citrus vomit, sorry to be gross. Pretty light flavored hefe. Beautiful color though DubC5000 (195), San Diego, California, USA Sep 18, 2008 Very dry, vinous brew the color of transparent orange juice. Yeasty smell that lingered during the course of the drink and sort of overwhelmed the flavor at times. Strong malted wheat flavor, but otherwise a very dry hefeweizen, unusual for the style. Also quite bland. Drinkable, but the amber-weizen is much preferable to this one. noncaloric (601), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 11, 2008 Summary: Wheat yes, yeast not so much. Aroma: Wheat, slightly tangy. Appearance: Apricot-amber liquid, only slightly hazy, with a thin, temporary, yellowish head. No lace. Flavor: Begins with a little bit of crispness like fresh apples, but the body is whole wheat, downright bready, if not particularly viscous. Spicy like carraway, finishes bitter with a twist of citrus. Palate: Carbonation nicely complements the spicy flavor elements. caesar (3020), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Sep 6, 2008 Tap @ Safeco Field. Mariners vs Yankees, Brendan Morrow almost gets a no-hitter against the Yankees. What a great game. Too bad the beer sucked.
