Flavor is mildly citrus, but mainly just wheat. Not the best in its style by any means. BenDover (125), Texas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 3, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow. No foam. Aroma is faint, hint of citrus. Flavor is... nonexistent? To say this is bland and weak would be an understatement. Very disappointing. Beerman6686 (1271), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Poured a hazy golden yellow color with a big white head. Aroma was very wheaty and bland, more like american wheat than the spicy notes of german hefes. Flavor was much the same, very bland, not watery, just plain. smerkinb (5), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 30, 2008 Poured cloudy murky dull orange flavor with smells of bread and citrus spice, not even a hint of banana. This was my first "hefe" and even if it’s not a stellar example of the style, it’s still delicious. My first tentative sip turned into a healthy slow gulp which turned into barely being able to set my glass down between sips. I gave up, held onto it and finished it pretty quickly. And then I realized my mistake--I didn’t have any more. That won’t happen again, I’ll keep this stocked up as a standby. Oh, I also tried this with a handful of blackberries thrown in--equally tasty a bit more bitter and just like a little beer lava lamp. It was the refreshment and the entertainment! | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 12, 2008 I like this beer, but in my book it is not a hefe. Sure its cloudy, but there is no banana clove flavor that is required of a German hefe. Why not just call it an unfiltered American Wheat? Still a decent tasting beer. carruthm (1122), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2008 This is your average hefe. Light yellow body and a white head. Flavor is refreshing and clean. Smooth and pretty malty. Good on a hot day for sure...but there are better. BellsFan (47), Michigan, USA
