jbuzz (658), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jun 22, 2008 Hefeweizen tasting at Three Cellars Milwaukee.
Pretty basic Hefeweizen, drinkable by all means. Slight sweetness and a bit creamy. Bhef25 (35), USA Jun 16, 2008 As a beer it is uh well palatable. As for it saying it is a hefeweizen is ridiculous. I am not a fan. pintbypint (1002), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Jun 15, 2008 12 oz brown bottle(s) at EFoB ’08. Cloudy dark gold, amazing tight, creamy head that lasted throughout the glass. Aroma of dusty wheat with lemon. Flavour was creamy wheat malts. Light bodied, mild carbonation, pretty basic, but it went down well at the fest. ZiggyG (131), Gladstone, Oregon, USA Jun 11, 2008 Pours cloudy yellow. 2 inches of sudsy white head that quickly dissipates. Smells slightly of wheat, not a lot in the nose. Taste is wheat with just about the right level of sweetness, not sticky but definitely present. Mouth is pretty flat and medium to light bodied, good for the style. This beer is ok alone, but it is really nice with a lemon or lime wedge on a summer day. hoplover (166), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Jun 11, 2008 I’m not into hefe’s that much but I wanted to try a good one and my good friend and fellow homebrewer told me to try this one, and that it was pretty good. Well, I tried it on tap, and I thought it was pretty good. It had a little wheat smell to it. A white head that didn’t realy stick around too long, and in the flavor I realy did taste a little fuity notes kinda like bannanas, (just barely) I’m sure there are great hefe’s out there, and Iv’e heard of some good imported ones. But this one isn’t that bad. leninthedesert (112), Nevada, USA Jun 5, 2008 Wheat what? Not the best hefe...actually, not even close. I could not detect any depth of character for the style in this beer. It was, however, relatively cold and refreshing on a hot Las Vegas day. budweiserblows (31), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Jun 3, 2008 12oz. squat bottle. I truly disliked this weak, horrible excuse for a Hefe. It did not example any of the characteristics of a good Hefeweizen, it was watery as all get out, and the finish was bitter on top off all that. STAY AWAY! Try the curve-ball instead. Gypsy19 (602), California, USA May 27, 2008 I was really unimpressed by this beer’s flavor, or lack thereof. It really tastes much like a cheap American lager. Yes, like MGD or Budweiser. Very sweet and corny flavor, with no depth or character. Not that good at all. Smells good, looks good, performs poorly overall. Sorry Pyramid.
