Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

I must admit, perhaps not a hef kinda guy, but none the less i like this one. Perhaps to my own detriment, for this hef is not the norm in the northwest. hazy body with lingering mello tones that meander around the idea of depicting dirty earthy notes. A hef that does not need the lemon, for it rings rich with citris and body.

Draught at Chili’s Goleta. Hazy Gold with a lasting head. Sweet banana aroma. Crisp and banana flavor with wheat tang and some light bitterness. Not quite a bavarian hef, but pretty close and quite drinkable. Creamy and smooth body. Lacks the more interesting spice of a good hef, but still comes out pretty good overall.

Bottle. Hazy light orange body, medium white head, sour lemony nose with a hint of clove. Dry wheaty body, perhaps some lemon and clove, hints of banana, moderate bitterness. Crisp and refreshing.

Pours cloudy gold with a generous white head. Fair amount of lacing. Aroma is malty, breads. Flavor is rich malts good amount of hops but not bitter. Good flavor for a wheat beer. Palate is smooth with the slightest bitter finish. Overall a good session wheat beer.

Aroma of wheat and hay. Flavor is ok, but slightly bland for my taste. Aftertaste is so so. Overall a drinkable beer, but kinda boring.
