BMan1113VR (2755), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA Feb 23, 2008 Not too impressive. Very wheaty aroma. Large, frothy, off-white head covering a hazy gold body. Corny and bitter taste, not too much wheat. Dry mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation. Not impressed. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA Feb 21, 2008 [WBA styles tasting] Mildly hazy, pale straw color. Aroma of bread, apples and apricot. Fruity flavors, with a bit too much caramel. Minimal clove esters, but loads of banana. Lingering sweetness. Very low bitterness. junon (210), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Feb 19, 2008 Pours really nice and dare I say better than some German and Belgian options. Appearance would be its strongest point. Pyramid’s adaption as with most of the American wheats Ive tried lacks both the fruity nose and taste. Tastes more grassy or veggy than fruity. Its not bad by any means but not what I look for in a Hefe. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 2, 2008 on tap in a cold pint glass at The Counter, very tasty Pacific style wheat beer with nice head and cloudy golden yellow color, good body and very nice lemony hop finish timfoolery (482), California, USA Feb 1, 2008 Updated: Feb 23, 2008This Hefe is a little different in its extraordinarily drinkablity. The taste didn’t wow me, but I could drink the stuff all night. It was a nice surprise... Tasted again on 2/22/08 and felt the same way! DTM (541), Winters, California, USA Feb 1, 2008 Poured a hazy yellow with a moderatley sized head. Typical hefeweizen with yeasty and citrus flavors. Lacks a little in flavor, but goes down smooth. waolsen (1220), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jan 22, 2008 tap. I really enjoyed this on tap. Hazy staw pour with thin head. Nice wheat and grain. Smooth and slightly creamy. asedzie (453), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy swirly amber with medium slightly off-white head. Nice residual yeast on bottom of bottle. Very mild grain aroma, doughy yeast notes, slight citrus-like scent. Flavor is doughy light bread, a very mild sourness, a tiny bit of floral hops and a touch of bitter flavor- overall very mild and lacking much complexity. Rounded mouthfeel is the best part.
