Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

12 oz. bottle. Good pour produced a solid head that fades fairly quickly into a strong ring with foamy sheen. Color is a hazy deep tan, almost amber. Not much nose to this one--just a slight tangy, yeasty bread whiff. Flavor is also pretty restrained, but at least it’s not bad, like some American hefes can be. This is a drinkable beer, especially in summer, but I recommend no lemon, as it really overpowers this one.

Nothing special here. Typical cloudy yellow with a large head. Flavor was bland. Similar to Blue Moon. Go for something better.

Good armoa of wheat malt. Lighter in color than most hefes. Good flavor that doesn’t sour. A solid hefeweizen for the summer.

Aroma is bready/biscuity with a suspicion of lemon. Hazy orangy gold color with a white head that just filmed. Medium bodied. Definite wheat malt. Some light lemon. The banana is truly hard to find. There’s a bit of citrus sour, and the finish has enough bitter to salvage the product. A big Bavarian banane it’s not. An American wheat it is.

thanks to JK for sharing. Clear orange color with faint wheat and banana nose. Similar flavor but a watery body.

Pours cloudy yellow/orange, with very small head. Aroma is light malts & bread. Taste is a little disappointing for a hefeweizen. A little too acidic and it has a dry finish. Decent, but not great.

Thick and heavy with light carbonation. I was really expecting a lighter and more crisp beer and got a thick and heavy american style wheat, maybe they should have staved off adding the extra 10% wheat malt or maybe i should have trusted my knowledge of american wheats and stayed away in favor of a true hefeweizen.
