Aroma is mildly spicy bread yeast. Taste is smooth white bread, with a refreshing light sourness. Nice bready, wheat aftertaste seems to coat the inside of my mouth. I really like most Bavarian wheat beers; don’t usually like the American style wheat so much, but this one is pleasantly surprising. Drinkable, mild taste; mostly wheat with a nice balance between the tart and sweet. Some here describe it as bland, but the tendency towards accenting either the sweetness or the citric acid qualities is what I hate about most American wheats. Excellent choice when selection is limited. pineypower (1090), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA

Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Not much aroma. Body is pretty thin, some fruit, yeast and maybe some hop here and there. Overall light flavor zach8270 (2079), Henrietta, New York, USA

Smell is very light with just wheat. Not much spice or orange in it. Flavor tastes almost exactly like a lager. Very watery and not much flavor. Definitely a wheat ale rather than a hefe. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Aside from getting this beer in a brewer’s box with 3 other kinds of Pyramid beers at a really great price, I really doubt that I’d buy this again. Aside from the fact that it’s just really plain, and unspectacular there really aren’t any faults either. An aroma of light fruit, crackers and soap. Flavors were really subdued with a dip towards the sour side with a decent dry finish. The problem I have with American Wheats is that they are just too plain and have no complexity or characteristics of a good Euro hefe. zxxzooz (13), Berkeley, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 11, 2007 This is a pretty un-aromatic and bland Hef. Not especially sweet or tart on the nose and palate. Everytime i drink this beer i want it to have some exceptional quality, but I don’t get it. Just common. presario (2956), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 9, 2007 Tap at SeaTac airport. Dark cloudy orange. 1/4" creamy head. Strong orange aroma with backing banana and yeast. Creamy, zesty and refreshing. Full bodied. A bit of a dusty quality. Citrus notes seem muted. mattcoats (40), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

Its good at a beer, but its missing something. The lemony citrus taste is always present. Its an enjoyable drink, but not my favorite.
