boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Mar 20, 2007 Tap... came out a thick, bright yellow with a contrasty white head. Sweet, citrus aroma. Flavors of citrus, yeast, malt, and a just a touch of hops to balance it all out. Not as robust as a lot of other American wheats, but still well suited. DaMenace123 (250), Houston, Texas, USA Mar 15, 2007 Very average hefeweizen. Aroma and flavor is hoppy with lemon and citrus finish. USCMustangman (41), Alabama, USA Mar 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours a nice golden-orange, cloudy color. NIcely refreshing with mild lemony flavor. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Mar 14, 2007 Get some light fruit and wheat in the aroma.Pours a cloudy orange with a large white head.Bitter fruit and a very light watery flavor. Not a lot going on in this one.Thin mouthfeel with a slight light fruit finish. Airlifter (116), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Mar 11, 2007 Cloudy orange color with a bright white head. A lot of sediment in the bottle--as it should be. Fruity, yeasty aroma; nice and strong. Flavor is a little hoppy with fruit more in the background. A little more bitter than I prefer for a hefe. Trappist (279), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Mar 10, 2007 Drinkable... Although notes of citrus are detected, and yes it is wheaty it is not the best. But with that being said it is mellow and good for hot days. Refreshing, and light-medium copper coloration that is slightly cloudy. thomasacross (129), Edina, Minnesota, USA Mar 7, 2007 Draft at Pyramid Alehouse, Seattle. Very similar to the Apricot Weizen -- replace apricot notes with lemon ones. While hefes are Pyramids signature, I’m not sure this is among the best domestic wheats I’ve had (it’s no Liberty Summer Ale). Drinkable but also not particularly remarkable. rmussman (905), California, USA Mar 5, 2007 Probably my favorite Pyramid Brew. Pours light golden color with a thick white head. Has a good array of flavors in the brew that have a pleasent aftertaste. Worth a try if you can find it, an above average hefe.
