hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Feb 25, 2007 bottle split over at Volgon’s. nice appearance, hazy golden in color with medium to high carbonation. Aroma was slight citrus/lemon and grainy. Taste was citrus/lemon notes with dry grains and a thin body. Finishes unpleasantly astrigent. Not very good. chrisok (77), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Feb 24, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours golden orange and is cloudy as a hefe should be. Thin head which disappears quickly. Also noticed a great deal of bubbles. Aroma was of malt and citrus. Flavor was nice, yet unremarkable. Typical wheat, citrus, yeast flavor of many hefes. Finish was thin, somewhat watery, and crisp. LyndaNova (492), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Feb 24, 2007 Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a cloudy pale orange color with alabaster bubbles around the edges. Sweet malt, dough/bread, and citrus notes. Smooth and effervescent. Light malty ending with grassy notes. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Feb 23, 2007 Bottle: Looks great with its cloudy orange and a thin white head, falls apart with a weak grain and lemon aroma, mellow carbonation and medium body can’t save it, the sour-laced taste and weak ending seal the deal. milty908 (13), USA Feb 20, 2007 Still one of my favorite hefes. I like the drinkability and the lighter taste of the hefe. Great with or without lemon. Wheat taste really comes out, like drinking a fresh wheat roll. Refreshing and light while still very flavorful. Doctormirk (100), USA Feb 19, 2007 Pours with a large foamy head. Cloudy light amber. Tastes of yeast, bananas and a little salty. Nothing too special. GregClow (2493), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 12, 2007 Draught at an overpriced seafood restaurant in Seattle. Served way too cold with a wedge of lemon on the edge of the glass - sigh. Hazy orange-amber with a small white head. Fairly typical hefe aroma with notes of yeast, banana and mild spice. Light body. Average flavour that is pretty much to style. Doesn’t hold a candle to the classics of the style, but it’s a decent enough beer. jeremytoni (1067), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA Feb 10, 2007 Great with a wedge of lemon. Pours cloudy honey brown. Great wheat beer flavor with a pleasing finish
