shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Dec 28, 2006 A rather bland hefe, with some citrusy hints in the nose. A faint, faint undertaste of banana and a bit of lemon zest complement the wheaty flavor of this brew. Overall, though, this stuff is pretty nodescript. Refreshing and inoffensive, but nothing I’d buy so long as there were any reasonable alternatives. RollinHard (750), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Dec 20, 2006 Pours a cloudy light ambery goldish color. This beer tastes a bit on the light side, but there’s plenty of bread flavors and some slight sour/tartness. Finsihes slightly spicy, but the lingering aftertaste is that of bread. Too mellow for me, and the body is very lacking. I’d probably save this for drinking at the bar when it happens to be one of the more exciting offerings. ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany Dec 20, 2006 Bottle. Poured a golden color. It is ok not a beer I would drink again. Has flavor or body. Niighthawk (3), Phelan, California, USA does not count Dec 14, 2006 I had Pyramid out of a bottle and I enjoyed it! It had a good flavor and was not harsh on the palate like other bottled hefe’s. graham515 (420), Houston, Texas, USA Dec 13, 2006 Not one of the best hefe’s I’ve ever had, but certainly not the worst either. I had this on tap last night. The head was very thin and deteriorated quickly. The flavor of the beer was good and its a very smooth. Would buy again. TrojanMan (43), USA Dec 11, 2006 Good American wheat beer. Not the best but definitley not the worst. Have had it numerous times on tap and out of the bottle. It is definitely popular in this area. bigcat03 (191), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA Dec 10, 2006 Bottle from Hy-Vee Liquors poured into weizen - Pours very cloudy gold with a 1.5 finger fluffy white head; Wheat, yeast, hint of citrus to the nose; Wheat, lemon, and a little grass on the initial taste; Wheat, a little lemon backtaste; medium to heavy palate; Pleasant carbonation; Really not bad at all. Palate-wise it reminds me of a german hefe, but not flavor or aroma-wise. Too much hop presence for a wheat. I’d drink it again.
SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Dec 6, 2006 A good American style Hefe. Not the best, not the worst. Refreshing. Would try again.
