Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Dec 6, 2006 Bottle. Aroma is of clove spice and malt. Body is hazy gold with good white head. Flavor has a spice dominance that makes it hard for the banana to come through like most. Interesting but there are better hefe’s out there. SynergyXJ (506), Blacksburg, Virginia, USA Nov 21, 2006 Bottle. Light aroma, some citrus. Not much flavor to speak of either. Light and refreshing, but not great, might try it again. DuffMan (2719), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, Canada Nov 17, 2006 I’m glad someone had the sense to properly classify this as an American wheat, because it doesn’t have much hefe features. Hazy yellow-gold, modest head, no lace. Wheaty aroma, vaguely banana as well. Palate is the same-- devoid of any spicy, estery,or citrus component really. On the thin side. Not bad, but don’t go out of your way for this one. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Nov 15, 2006 Had @ The Remington arms on that sunday 4-0......is this really americas favourite wheat? i hope not, this beer is smooth and refreshing but thats it...it seems to be lacking but i guess its quite good for the lager lovers of the world trying something diff 4 the 1st time. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Nov 10, 2006 GABF-on tap-pours a white head with yellow color. Taste is musty wheat, spicing. altonbrownd (1862), Amsterdam, Netherlands Nov 3, 2006 On tap in El Segundo. Yellowy wheat beer. Citrusy, light taste. Fruit aroma. Pleasant. shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Oct 28, 2006 Sampled from 12 oz bottle on 10/25/2006 at the Junedale Beer Klub meeting...
Color is light gold with a white head. Mild carbonation. Light everything - light lacing, light wheat flavor and aroma, light yeast in the flavor in the aroma, light body. Needed more oomph behind everything! RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 20, 2006 Attractive hefe-type pour releases the yeasty/wheaty aromas. The flavor is grassy, fruity, citrus, banana, clove, and spices. Decent wheat, if unremarkable.
