Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

Translucent cloudy beer with a crazy film on top. Just a little fruity aroma. Clean beer taste, low bitterness if any. Finish ever so slightly remaining.

Smells of oranges and grapefruit and is opaque and orangish color with a small creamy head. Malt and hops balanced with hops taking a slight edge.

12 oz bottle. Hazy orange colored body with a short lasting white head. Quite light aroma with some citrus and a hint of banana. Nice flavor, well balanced mix of citrus, banana and some caramel. Some lemon and a hint of acid in aftertaste. Something between a Belgium wit and a Bavarian hefe weizen? I like it.

Draught @ Cheesecake Factory, Las Vegas: Came a light orange in colour with an odd head for a supposed hefe; not foamy, but there. Aroma is very light with yeast, hops, oranges, and lemons coming through. Taste is heavy on the carbonation with a lots of water. I tried to save it with the lemon wedge, and it helped, but not enough to make it worthwhile. Pass on this one.

Body is a golden amber with a 3/4 inch white head. Aroma is wheat, little bit of honey, and cheap malts. Taste is bland, bit of wheat, a malt liquor type smell, a bit of crystal malt, and pale malt.

I was disturbed by the initial aroma of the beer. It has a distinct aroma of clams. The seafood smell was a turnoff. The taste was good but I could not get over the smell.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy copper colored beverage with a small fizzy head that quickly and completely disappeared leaving no lacing on the glass. The aroma was rather unpleasant, smelling like dirty sox. The body was medium-light with lively carbonation and a slightly oily texture. The flavor started off lightly sweet. This sweetness fades gradually during the medium length finish and is eventually replaced with a light bitterness.

Bottled - Bought this with low expectations... Pours a cloudy orange... Aroma is yeast and citrus with an apple scent... Flavor has a refreshing citrus taste with a little sweetness... I’m not fond of Pyramid beers ... but this is probaby their best... good hefe IMO... I’d buy it again.. they won me over
