Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy copper colored beverage with a small fizzy head that quickly and completely disappeared leaving no lacing on the glass. The aroma was rather unpleasant, smelling like dirty sox. The body was medium-light with lively carbonation and a slightly oily texture. The flavor started off lightly sweet. This sweetness fades gradually during the medium length finish and is eventually replaced with a light bitterness.

Bottled - Bought this with low expectations... Pours a cloudy orange... Aroma is yeast and citrus with an apple scent... Flavor has a refreshing citrus taste with a little sweetness... I’m not fond of Pyramid beers ... but this is probaby their best... good hefe IMO... I’d buy it again.. they won me over

(Tap) Pours a hazy mustand color with a small, persistant head. A little hoppier then I expected. Overall not too much flavor. A little citrusy. Quite unimpressive.

On Tap at Fado Seattle (sans lemon slice - YUK!). Muddy cloudy yellow beige with a small short lasting white head. Served maybe a touch too cold. Citrusy sourdough yeasty aroma. Medium light dry palate. Flavours are decent citrusy grapefruit (hey why add the lemon folks!!!!) and medium to light bitter hops. Mild sweetness leading to dry clean finish.
