IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA May 24, 2006 Hazy yelllow with asmall white head. Aroma of yeast with some small notes of banana and orange. Astringent malty taste. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA May 24, 2006 Pours slightly hazed pale yellow w/ minimal froth. Aroma is malty banana. Light and silky nectar with relaxed effers. Flavors are fruity, malty, milky banana. The finish is fruity. Overall: too malty for this genre. kimcgolf (822), Dacula, Georgia, USA May 19, 2006 Pours to a yellowish-orange with lots of carbonation and a medium white head. Strong aromma of wheat and dough. Taste of wheat, with maltiness and slight fruit. Good finish. ehhdayton (1113), USA May 16, 2006 Light citrus and banana aroma with a pour that is a cloudy orange with a decent white head. The flavor has some malty sweetness with light notes of bananas. The finish is light and mild. Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 16, 2006 An unclear orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of oranges, but also notes of banana and light notes of straw. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel as well as quite a lot of banana and oranges. I think this is a nice Hefeweizen - why is it listed as an American wheat? Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 16, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy, orangey golden with a small, off-white head. Lightly sweet, fruity aroma. Medium body with some slightly sweet malt, but no real fruityness. A hint of sulphur in the finish. 150506 cowboy7096 (54), Arlington, Texas, USA May 13, 2006 Has a yeloowish-amber haze/unfiltered appearance which is real cool. Not very carbonated at all.. a medium head that really didn’t last that long. It has a nice citrus taste and mild spice taste like most hefes. It might have been slightly too bitter for a hefe. I really like to taste a fruity/spice taste thats refreshing, and nothing else. It seemed kinda like most normal light lagers with a hefe tist to it. seemed to have a slightly watery taste overall, with a bitter aftertaste. Overall, not that bad at all. definitely not my favorite hefe-weizen, but It’s quite refreshing. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA May 13, 2006 Tap at Babe’s brewpub: Fairly typical body for a hefe/wheat. A light lemony aroma and flavor made this pretty bland, even after a hot hike in 100 degree weather. If a style like this fails there.. wow.
