TheOrange (405), Kent, Ohio, USA Mar 23, 2006 Nice deep cloudy yellow, with very very little head. The head, what there is of it, is white and in a ring around the glass. Not very attractive. Nice mellow malt in the aroma. Flavor and finish are not as clean, crisp and sharp as a whear should be. The flavor is ok, no supprises, and nothing special. It is easy to drink, and farily enjoyable. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Mar 17, 2006 Slightly cloudy golden color with a white head. Slightly doughy aroma with a faint hint of citrus. Pretty thin and watery with a slightly acidic finish. Nothing special at all. jake65 (1657), Williston, North Dakota, USA Mar 4, 2006 Smooth to drink, but a bit thin in taste. Poured a golden color with a moderate head that was quick to disapear. Tastes of a little yeast, bread, not much hopiness. beerlover82 (100), Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 4, 2006 On tap at the MGM Grand in Vegas:light golden yellow with minimal head/lacing, not much of an aroma or anything in the way of flavor to get excited over. Typical wheat beer, not much else to say. Not a fan. telepork (84), USA Feb 26, 2006 CLowdy yellow pour, settles into coppery translucence. Head fades fast. Swirly particles. Tastes a bit too watery. Doesn’t taste liek a nice, hearty hefeweizen. Yeasty, watery palate. Not too bad, but nothing special, especially for a hefeweizen. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Feb 21, 2006 Updated: Jul 2, 2009bottle - Pours cloudy gold with a very thin rapidly fading head. That makes me wonder given the ratings here describing big, fluffy pours. Mine definitely wasn’t. Nevertheless, I was in the mood for a wheat beer and as advertised this beer is smooth and refreshing. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Feb 18, 2006 Cloudy yellow with small white head. Slightly musty wheat nose. Flavor is mildy sweet, corn and wheat, no clove or banana here, and no hop flavor either. Small diacetyl. Don’t call it a hefeweizen if you aren’t going to taste like one. Bleh. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA Feb 9, 2006 oz. twist cap brown bottle with a blurb about the Hefe Weizen on the neck label and no freshness date. Had a promising appearance, poured a cloudy dirty copper golden with a large frothy, rocky white head that slowly reduced to a thin bubbly, sticky ringed lacing. Had a stale, funky banana yeasty aroma with whiffs of a distant breadiness and lemons. Good carbonation and a slick medium bodied mouth feel, around average drinkability. Had a watery wheat malty taste with a stale yeastiness and a sour, semi-crisp lemony finish and a strange metallic flavor in the aftertaste.
