Commercial Description:
The standard by which all other wheat beers are judged. Our deliciously deranged American-Style Hefeweizen is an award winning take on this Bavarian classic. This refreshingly unfiltered wheat ale delivers a distinctively smooth flavor worth sharing with friends.

On tap. Tasted during trip to California. Yellow cloudy colour with a nice head. Not much aroma, just hints of citrus. Very weak flavour of yeast. Not very good.

On Tap: Bannanas, cloves, wheat, honey and lots of citrus were tastes and aromas. Color was quite nice, although I always love the look of a hefe or a wheat. Palate was smooth with an astringent bite on finish.

Bottle. Pours pale, slightly cloudy, yellow with very thin to non existent head. Aroma of grains and corn. Taste is hard to define as it doesn’t really taste like anything. Maybe a little banana in the aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light and carbonated. Not my favorite beer/style, but very easy drinking.

I’ve alwasy found this hefe to be better than many of the other American ones out there. yeasty and crisp...if you get ahcne check it out at on of their Breweries/Pub for the better tasting tap version. You can even watch a movie outdoor in their parking lot in the summer.

Bottle: The color is difficult to explain, it’s an off yellowish Gold and it’s very cloudy. It offers a nice creamy white head but it’s gone in less than a minute. The aroma is lightly fruity but no distinctions could be made. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy but very light. The flavor is very light, with a touch of orange and banana, not very rewarding. Aftertaste is almost nonexistant! This beer does nothing for me, very boring!!!
