blatz (138), Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Florida, USA Jul 2, 2005 Lots of subpar ratings here, but I was excited by this one -- maybe it was the setting -- just gotten off the plane and was hot as hell. Had on tap at American Cafe -- was beautiful hazy orange, lemon was not needed at all great citrus taste in the beer -- not overly yeasty, perfect balance. I really enjoyed this -- and before I knew it -- I had three down the hatch. Great marks all around -- don’t know when I’ll have it again tho -- hard to find down here. Tmoney99 (4652), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 24, 2005 Bottle 12 oz. Cloudy pale amber with small head. Very little aroma. Medium to light body with smooth wheat texture. Medium flavor of citrus and malt with a small bitter finish. Below average for style. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA Jun 22, 2005 Hugely dissapointed. The only hefe I have in the fridge on a hot summer day and it’s rather bland. Light amber, no head. Light yeasty aroma. Flavor very bland. Watered down. mustangjoe (172), redondo beach, California, USA Jun 18, 2005 Draft at Friday’s. A cloudy yellow color, certainly looks like a wheat beer. The flavor was not very exciting however. It was fairly smooth, but I’ll probably pass and try something different next time. r464 (285), Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 10, 2005 Golden yellow color. Pale white head and hazy. Light and distinctly wheat, but missing some crispness and fruit flavor that I was hoping for. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA Jun 4, 2005 Opaque buff with no head. Wheat with some citrus and spice. Strage flavor that is like a cross with a rough cheap American lager and an American Wheat. This seems softer when I had it last. Some rough citrus hops noticable(Cluster?) apost8n8 (123), Oklahoma, USA May 25, 2005 Draft at Anthony’s in Bellingham, WA and from the bottle in the same week. The draf tof course was much better. Orange and cloudy but the bottle poured clear. Nice thick and creamy off-white head from both. Decent Hef. lamas (709), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA May 14, 2005 Bottle. Best by date: 07/28/05. Dull, hazy gold pour with two-finger thick off-white head. A little fizzy. Aroma is yeasty and tangy with some bananas and peaches and a hint of nutmeg. Where’s the flavor? Medium-bodied and smooth. Only slightly crisp. More sour than tangy. Lemon and a little banana dominate the flavor with a touch of spiciness.
