DerBiermeister (504), Birmingham, Alabama, USA May 9, 2005 Updated: May 28, 2008This is a quality brew, which I really enjoy. It is lightly salty and effervescent, easy to drink and crisp. It is simple, delicious, and unpretentious. Aesir (127), California, USA May 5, 2005 I kind of like the cloudy look of the beer before I drink it. It makes me think maybe there are flavor crystals floating about. But upon tasting, it’s probably just dirty wheat. No head, but plenty of fizz. Tastes of stale wheat and slight lemon zest. Don’t get me wrong, there are worse things, but if your coming into this looking for flavor crystals, look elsewhere. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 3, 2005 Medium colored cloudy gold. This poured with a relatively large head. The aroma is perfume and peaches. There is also a hint if nutmeg rather than clove. The taste is a relatively sour lemon and banana. There is also a hint of clove spice in the finish. This coudl use a different yeast or something ot make it less sour. Still, better than many American wheats. Ron (1002), Rochester, New York, USA Apr 29, 2005 I did not have my trusty lemon wedge and Weisbier glass while I was vacationing in California so the rating for this Wheat beer would be lower than others. Maybe I’ll try it again someday. jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Apr 24, 2005 Dark yellow, darker than a normal hefeweizen, some white head that hung around. Bananas in aroma. Creamy palate, dry hoppy finish, good but I prefer the more delicate German wheat beers. bpboland (25), Niagara Falls, New York, USA Apr 24, 2005 Really cloudy. Faint aroma. It’s mild for a hefe, which is good cause hefes are often overpowering. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Apr 23, 2005 Draft at Chili’s. Best thing on tap tonight. Fruity aroma and a hoppy flavor. Head was very thin. Not a bad beer, but not super exciting. neocon (34), Gold Canyon, Arizona, USA Apr 15, 2005 Cloudy golden beer. Smells of wheat and maybe something sweet. Thick off white head that lingers. Nice lacing. Doesn’t leave much of an after thought. I would consider the finish very clean.
