Their beers tend to be totally unremarkable. They are neither note worthily bad or good. Just there. I can see no purpose. Take the hefeweizen for example. I sampled this one from a 12 oz bottle. It poured a cloudy orange-golden color with a small white head. I have to at least give it some points for appearance. The aroma was very mild though not unpleasant and had notes of sour wheat. The flavor was dry and really bland. There was not much wheat flavor. There was no citrus. It tasted like a typical boring ale. The aftertaste was light and unremarkable. Overall the beer was completely uninspiring. To me drinking Pyramid is like death by beer boredom. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

Funky piquant nose of distinct yeast, fruits and spices. Initially sharp flavor with big wheat roundness that finishes bready and mealy. Pretty easy drinking American style hefe. cheapdark (2024), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 12, 2006 Translucent cloudy beer with a crazy film on top. Just a little fruity aroma. Clean beer taste, low bitterness if any. Finish ever so slightly remaining. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 25, 2007 Cloudy orange pour with a very light smell of fruity wheatiness. Taste was nice and smooth, with maybe less than average carbonation. Very easy to drink, and friendly for beginners. Not bad, but not my favorite American Wheat as it lacked some of the hearty flavor of other wheats. cbkschubert (2002), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 10, 2006 A pretty strong lemon flavor comes through. Can’t taste much wheat or banana flavor. Beer is a little hazy and retains the light head well. Light after taste. Not bad DaSilky1 (1999), San Diego, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 26, 2009 Wheaty Hefeweizen-like nose, cereal grains and chunky banana yeast phenols with a touch of crisp fermented tang rounding out the nose. Cloudy orangish color with white, solid head. Bland and thin wheat flavors with hints of cereal and messy dishwater aftertaste. I’ve started to appreciate this style more and more as I grow older, but this one doesn’t really bring anything exciting to the table, and instead kind of blahs it about, dishwater. This is the kind of beer that needs a lemon to make it refreshing, and once a lemon is squeezed in your glass or bottle, it does suffice as a refreshing beverage. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 7, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours golden orange and is cloudy as a hefe should be. Thin head which disappears quickly. Also noticed a great deal of bubbles. Aroma was of malt and citrus. Flavor was nice, yet unremarkable. Typical wheat, citrus, yeast flavor of many hefes. Finish was thin, somewhat watery, and crisp. mjg74 (1997), La Mesa, California, USA

Hop flavors are subdued and it does have a pretty bitter flavor, which is not bad. I used to think this beer ruled. Now I have come to realize that there are alot better.
