Pours a darker, hazy yellow than most hefes, too. Taste is rather a hybrid of German and American wheats: soft spiciness, but no clove or banana taste. Well, it’s one of Pyramid more widely sold beers, so one could expect it to be a little more broad in mass appeal. But still, it’s a very good light beer to keep around.

No good bread or yeast notes, not real deep. Smooth, goes down easy, a good fruity kick, but lacks sustinence on the palate. Smacks sweet. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Pour is a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is hard to find even after half of the brew was gone. Flavor is not much better. Some notes of vanilla but nothing else stands out. Bland and boring. Beer2000 (1837), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 19, 2006 12 oz bottle. Hazy orange colored body with a short lasting white head. Quite light aroma with some citrus and a hint of banana. Nice flavor, well balanced mix of citrus, banana and some caramel. Some lemon and a hint of acid in aftertaste. Something between a Belgium wit and a Bavarian hefe weizen? I like it. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2003 Purchased on draft at an Outback Steakhouse - fortunately I remembered to tell them not to use a frosted mug, geez, do they think that all beer is ice impervious swill like the mass produced lagers? This came in a large mug, hazy golden color with a small head and little lacing. Fruity aroma with malt and wheat and a decent hop spice. Flavor was malted grains, sour mash, lemon and a medium hop finish. Good with a meal but not a favorite. Dorwart (1828), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Good sized light orange head of medium sized bubbles. reduce slowly with good carbonation. Really cloudy dark orange in color. Almost looks like apricot juice. Dry and dusty aroma with some light peaches, ham and some spices. Dry and biscuity in flavor. Definate wheat notes. Little bit of chalkyness. Pretty sweet and not very refreshing for a wheat. Finishes oily and dry. Eh! oldrtybastrd (1823), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 28, 2005 Pours a hazy golden yellow. Aroams of bread, fruit and spices. Flavors of orange, spice and some hints of citrus hop. Schroppfy (1813), Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 28, 2004 Not bad at all - very very wheaty, sourish, less sweet bubblegum, especially when warm. In fact, the palate is nice here, but the flavors don’t hold up all that well. But still, some pepper, spiciness, tanginess make it trad.
